Gavin excelled in a key leadership role with a a multi-million dollar, multi-national coaching organization as Chief Financial Officer prior to formalizing his coaching and advisory role into his own practice. Here, Gavin coached, advised, and implemented sound business strategies resulting in bottom line profitability growth of over 400% in just three years!

 

Gavin’s career in business has spanned multiple industries in both the private and public sectors. Starting his career in the not-for-profit sector and then moving into the municipal followed by the financial sectors, Gavin has used his financial knowledge to aid in the funding of institutional scientific research and development, impact city budgets and spending initiatives, and develop tools that incorporate sound financial principles and best practices to assist top decision-makers in meeting their growth and profitability objectives. Gavin’s work in leading edge financial methodologies has garnered both provincial and international attention at industry conferences.

 

Born and raised in Niagara, Gavin obtained his Honours Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Economics from Brock University where he received numerous academic awards. Following this, Gavin attended Wilfrid Laurier University where he earned a Master of Arts in Business Economics. Gavin continued to develop his knowledge of finance and business management by successfully earning the professional accounting designation of Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

 

Gavin has participated in numerous fund-raising and community-building initiatives including climbing Mt. Marcy, one of the most isolated summits in the United States. When not coaching, Gavin loves spending time with his wife and two young sons.
